Invoice Maker & Billing Manager
1. Introduction
Welcome to InvoiceMate ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our mobile application InvoiceMate (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Business name, address, logo, and contact details you enter in Settings
- Client names, addresses, and contact information you add to invoices
- Invoice data: line items, prices, tax rates, notes, and payment records
- Custom fields and digital signatures you add to invoices
Information collected automatically:
- Usage analytics – Firebase Analytics collects anonymised usage events (screens visited, features used) to help us improve the App.
- Crash reports – Firebase Crashlytics collects crash logs and device information (OS version, device model) when the App crashes.
- Advertising data – Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads via your device settings.
- Purchase information – Google Play Billing confirms your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To generate, display, and export invoices as PDF files
- To share invoices via email or WhatsApp at your request
- To back up and restore your data locally on your device
- To provide and improve the App's features
- To diagnose crashes and fix technical issues
- To verify your Pro subscription status and unlock premium features
- To display ads (free tier only)
4. Data Storage
All your business and invoice data is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database (Android Room). We do not upload your invoices, client data, or business information to our servers.
Backup files you create are saved to your device's storage and are under your full control.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- At your request – When you tap "Share via Email" or "Share via WhatsApp", the PDF is passed to the app you choose. We have no control over how those apps handle the data.
- Service providers – Google (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, AdMob, Play Billing) processes limited anonymised data under their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements – We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Advertising
The free version of InvoiceMate displays ads powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show relevant ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings under Google > Ads.
Pro subscribers do not see ads.
We comply with Google's Families Policy and applicable advertising regulations. Ads displayed are appropriate for a general business audience.
7. Children's Privacy
InvoiceMate is designed for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Data Security
Your data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's own security mechanisms (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a secure screen lock.
Analytics and crash data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit using TLS.
9. Your Rights
Because your invoice data is stored only on your device, you have full control over it:
- Access & export – Use the CSV Export or Backup feature in Settings.
- Deletion – Delete individual invoices within the App, or uninstall the App to remove all local data.
- Analytics opt-out – You can limit ad tracking in your device's Google settings.
If you have questions about data held by our third-party providers (Google), please refer to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
10. Third-Party Services
InvoiceMate integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)
- Google AdMob
- Google Play Billing
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through an in-app notice if the changes are significant. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
